Aging Well Expo - San Francisco, Feb 28 2026
Our recent Aging Well Expo at the Dr. George W. Davis Senior Center in San Francisco brought together seniors, providers, and community partners for a morning centered on education, protection, and connection. Hosted in collaboration with the Urban League of Greater San Francisco Bay Area and BluePath Health, the event created space for meaningful conversations around aging well and coordinated care.

The program opened with welcome remarks and a CalAIM overview from Deka Dike, followed by introductions from Neal Hatten from BHPMSS. The energy in the room quickly came alive with Omatochi’s signature banana dance, setting a warm and engaging tone for the day.
Our CalAIM Provider Panel featured representatives from Camille Cooley from Kaiser Permanente, Shauntessa Aguon-Clark from San Francisco Family Health Plan, Alana Pfeffinger from Anthem, Bella Bunkers from Mom’s Meals, Michelle Huerta from GA Foods and Avanina Cayetano from Omatochiwho shared valuable insights on Enhanced Care Management and Community Supports. The discussion and Q&A helped seniors better understand their benefits and the resources available to them.

A standout highlight of the morning was a Financial Fraud Prevention skit performed by Omatochi’s Chief of Operations, Lamar Hernandez Thorpe, alongside Care Manager Tammy. Through an engaging and relatable performance, they demonstrated common financial scams that target seniors—delivering an important message in a way that was both informative and entertaining. The session sparked thoughtful questions and meaningful dialogue from the audience.
The Expo concluded with closing remarks from Kenneth Maxey from Urban League of Grater San Fracisco, provider spotlights, raffle prizes, lunch, and tabling, giving seniors time to connect one-on-one with organizations and gather resources.
When community partners come together with purpose, education turns into empowerment.
This is what collaboration looks like. This is what aging well looks like.
